About the pharmacy

The VFN Hospital Pharmacy is one of the largest in the Czech Republic in terms of the number of employees and the range of services provided.

The pharmacy provides basic and specialized pharmacy care primarily for the inpatient and outpatient part of the General Hospital, ie for hospitalized, discharged and outpatient patients. At the same time, it provides this care to patients from the general public.

The hospital pharmacy participates in the practical undergraduate teaching of students of pharmaceutical faculties and high schools in the form of internships, as well as in the education of pharmacists.
within the framework of specialization education in cooperation with the Institute of Postgraduate Education in Health Care in Prague.

We offer clients:

the highest professional level,
providing a wide range of prescription drugs with an emphasis on drugs prescribed by VFN doctors; the pharmacy also deals with individual extraordinary imports of products less available or not registered in the Czech Republic,
ensuring the preparation of common and technologically demanding dosage forms,
ensuring the preparation of parenteral nutrition, eye drops and other sterile drugs not only for VFN clinics, but also several other medical facilities in Prague,
provision of medical aids for vouchers in the form of free sale,
a wide range of over-the-counter products, food supplements, medical cosmetics and foods for special medical purposes,
free consultation (drug consultation, weight loss support, smoking cessation),
dispensing of medicinal products and medical supplies to other medical facilities on request (doctors from specialized workplaces, general practitioners, etc.).

ISO goals and qualities

The international standard ČSN EN ISO 9001: 2016 contains requirements for a quality management system. The aim of this system is to ensure such a system of organization and management that there are no mistakes due to poor organization of work and insufficient provision of all resources, including personnel.
